Nutrition is a vital component to a healthy lifestyle. Along with exercise nothing is more effective in the prevention of many diseases and good guidance is essential. Whether you are dealing with a dietary problem such as a food allergy, or simply want professional advice to help you achieve your health goals, we are here to help you.

Mark loves food. And he loves talking about food even more. With a degree in nutrition under his belt, a past career as a public school teacher, and experience up north counselling and teaching his patients about chronic disease and food skills, Mark brings to the table a passion and skill that breaks down the complicated science and the misleading social media noise to factual, practical, livable and immediately implementable tips, tricks and guidance on taking steps to improve one’s health through food.
Mark believes in the importance of accountability, of setting achievable goals, and employs a weight-neutral approach to his practice. He believes in partnership, not dictatorship, and will work with you to meet you where you’re at, to help you achieve your goals, and be your biggest cheerleader along the way.
Mark splits his time between counselling clients here at Summit, and haunting the halls of St Paul’s Hospital providing clinical care to acute inpatients. He loves to cook and bake, enjoys a good book, loves to travel and spend time with family, and remains physically active whether that be time in the gym, in the pool, on his bike, or going for a stroll.
