I believe everyone has the capacity to make changes in their life within supportive and trusting relationships. I have learned that meeting people where they are is how to best serve their therapeutic needs and goals, and I am dedicated to working collaboratively to meet those goals. My approach is primarily influenced by strengths-based, narrative and somatic-based therapies. I am particularly passionate about the mind-body connection, helping clients have a greater awareness of how to regulate their nervous system and identify the way their thought patterns affect their mind and body.
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, substance use/addiction issues, suicidal ideation, chronic mental health concerns, and PTSD/trauma and incorporate the following modalities into my practice: Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Somatic Experiencing.
Recently, I have become intensely interested in sleep related issues such as insomnia and have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). I am passionate about helping those improve their quality and quantity of sleep by using a targeted approach to sleep related problems.
Whatever your goals are, I am committed to working alongside you on your journey towards growth and healing.

My approach to counselling is humanistic and insight-oriented, and uses somatic techniques and parts work. This means that I believe you are the expert on your own life, and that change happens through an empowering of you to release burdens and stress, process trauma (it can get trapped in the body), grow yourself, and author your own story. While all of us have this possibility, sometimes we can get stuck in the patterns or symptoms that are working so hard to keep us functioning and protected. I tend to work with people who feel like they are stuck in one or many ways in life, who might experience “blockages” in the form of issues within their family system or environment, difficulties connecting with others and cultivating relationships, loss of relationships, loneliness and disconnection, a loss of purpose, significant life transitions, chronic stress, difficulty feeling a sense of safety and security, and recurring intense emotions such as anxiety, anger, or sadness, that can feel debilitating and confusing. Despite our best efforts, the “stuckness” can keep us in suffering and prevent us from going down the paths or creating opportunities that lead us more into our authentic selves and to what we truly desire. I enjoy working with older teens, adults, and couples or small groups in any kind of relationship dynamic, and with people from all walks of life.
My experiences throughout the last 15 years in movement and expressive arts informs my practice, and I believe that creativity generates possibility. In therapy, it’s crucial that modalities are integrated and align with each individual, and that above all else there is a good relationship and sense of collaboration established. So, together we can explore what it is you need to feel more balanced and connected to what matters. I endeavor to create a safe space where every body feels welcome and accepted. I am here to support and advocate for you and move with you on your journey!
